D-EITI recieves EITI Chair Award 2026

A special moment for D-EITI at the 2026 EITI Global Conference in Brussels!
At this year’s EITI Global Conference in Brussels, the German EITI (D-EITI) was honored with the EITI Chair’s Award.
The award recognizes D-EITI’s strong performance in implementing the EITI Standard—specifically its work on data quality and its risk-based approach to ensuring the quality of payment flows from the extractive sector, which has contributed to the further development of EITI reporting.
Members of the German multi-stakeholder group were present in Brussels and accompanied Ambassador Dr. Helen Winter, from the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union, who accepted the award.
This recognition is a great tribute to the work and commitment of the D-EITI multi-stakeholder group and the D-EITI Secretariat. Many thanks to the EITI Chair for this special honor!
