11. STRAKO Conference in Berlin

On October 9, 2025, the 11th STRAKO Conference took place – an important forum bringing together experts from the judiciary, politics, academia, and civil society to discuss current challenges and developments in the fight against corruption. The conference was organized by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and Transparency International Germany e.V.

This year, the focus was on a particularly urgent topic: environmental crime.

Across the globe, corruption facilitates the falsification of environmental certificates, the unlawful granting of licenses, and the circumvention of controls – with serious consequences for the environment, climate, and society.

Members of D-EITI also took part in the conference.

An inspiring exchange and a strong message: Fighting corruption and protecting the environment go hand in hand.
