The data was taken from the “Jahresbericht für Betriebe im Verarb. Gewerbe” (Annual Report for Manufacturing Companies), table code 42271-0002 “Employees and turnover of the manufacturing companies: Germany, years, economic activities (WZ2008 2/3/4 digits) and table code 42271-0001 “Employees and turnover of the manufacturing companies: Germany, years, economic activities (WZ2008 Main groups and units)” issued by the Federal Statistical Office on 24 June 2026. These statistics refer to companies with at least 20 employees. As this statistical data is not the same as the statistical data on employees covered by the mandatory social security scheme, the data in the report does not cover all extractive business operations.
